Attention, Bitchface!

To the bitchfaced lady on the bus:

If you stand where the strollers go, and don’t move to make room for a mother and her daughter in a stroller, and then roll your eyes and feign injury when you get your foot rolled over, I have but one message for you: fuck off!

Kind regards,

Is this not the prototypical Vienna transit story?

I have no idea what makes everyone so damned grumpy. It’s a beautiful city. The weather has been nice. You couldn’t really have an easier urban life presented to you. And yet, you can do nothing but scowl and bitch.

Congratulations! You’ve made me one of you!

(please read this post with the proper sarcastic tone and wink. I’m not really dissin’)

I know, I know. It’s annoying — especially for you natives — to have all of these expats and diplomats move to your city and then complain about it nonstop. It’s definitely something that annoys me from time-to-time.

Vienna really seems to inspire that in people, though, doesn’t it?

Come on, Scott, you were really angry, right? :)

Do you think that there is more people like this in Vienna then in some other city? I’ve been living here only for 1.5 years so maybe I still don’t know the city… but I don’t.

I live in the states now, but grew up and lived the majority of my life in vienna. i reflect now, and see what you mean. its easy man. vieneese people have a crappy mentality. we dont function correctly. we sorta have a reputation for bitching at shit, they even made some kinda campaign against “raunzers” some years ago. well anyway, try to get used to it, it aint that bad, at least they dont call you a fuckin “kanak” or just be stupid rascist dipshits. there are still nice people in vienna.
