New portraits unveiled! Exhibition at 8.

Jacob Appelbaum has been an artist in residence in the MQ since December 2006. In this short time, he made a bunch of insanely great photos, held a lecture and hosted Viennas’ second Dorkbot meeting, where he talked about the future of free communication. Now, after two really life-enhancing months, his residency is coming to an end. But as you probably have expected, there’s one more thing.

Today (That is to say, Wednesday, January 31st), at 20:00, the vernissage/party for Jake’s newest exhibition will rock the Electric Avenue. On display are large prints of portraits he did during his time in Europe. And as is usual for an artistic orgy of cosmic proportions like this one, you can expect free booze, free speech and other assorted liberties.

If you’re in Vienna, swing by!
