Holidays from within Vienna
So I am back. Still a bit dreamy, but back. I am off work for about about two weeks now and I begin to feel a change in my attitude towards all kinds of things. I feel a bit buddha-like. I’m not sure whether I like that.
Here comes a little essay on how I spent this precious free time, which I used to a large extent to finish a large piece of writing.
Of course first I had to return home for Christmas – to Tyrole – as do most people who once seeked exile in Vienna. Since a couple of years I am fine with the strange rituals performed by parents and relatives; to be honest: I am fine with them, since I discovered I can deal with them as strictly non personal, as completely “empty signs” which refer the mere fact that we shared some experiences in the past. I don’t expect anything to happen and nothing happens. That’s good.

Around New Year we spent four days in the High Tatra / Slovakia, but I am not going to show You any pictures, because this is a Weblog on Vienna ;-)
The last couple of days I saw Vienna only from the inside of my appartment. This gives me the opportunity to plead for more entries about life-at-home. Am I the only blogger that finds her life at home sometimes much more interesting, good and rewarding then life on the streets, at events etc.? Could as well be …
Still: I love late afternoons and the light in our backyard, it makes me happy.
yes, why not more “at home” entries. but this could get very strange.
i also had to make a picture of the light yesterday at around 4pm. a phantastic turquois color and clouds made like out of plastic.
Strange: Yes, I guess so. But does anything speak against strange? Maybe against very strange …
