Spargel!
Well, everybody, I know it has been a long, hard winter. But please don’t dispair because just as sure as Franz Josef’s daily Tafelspitz lunch, anti-fur protests on Mariahilferstraße, or the unyielding wrath of a Viennese waiter, it is Spargel Time!



I love asparagus! There are so many wonderful ways to appreciate this treat.
One of my favorites is sautéed briefly in a cranberry sauce. Throw in something chewy, like eggplant, tofu, or chicken and it’s an entree.
I had my share of asparagus on Saturday and it was wonderful.
