There are some things that belong together for ever, like Vienna, coffeehouses, coffee and literature. For 127 years now you can find the Cafe Sperl at Gumpendorferstraße 11, 1060 Vienna. It has been the home to many famous writers and artists. If you have never been there, don’t waste another 127 years. 23rd of March at 19:30 is perfect to get a special taste of Vienna.

On 23rd of March Roland Steiner will read from his book “Wir aber liebten die Rettung” (we loved the rescue. trsl) in the wonderful Cafe Sperl. Highly recommended, mainly for the literature (sorry, German only), but lets not forget the atmosphere and the Sperltorte.

Roland Steiner, *1971 in Leoben, Styria, studied in Vienna, Siena and Rome, published literature in magazines, radio and online in Austria, Germany and Switzerland and recieved an Literaturarbeitsstipendium des Bundeskanzleramts 2005/2006.
