Smoking or not?

As a further interesting point to the current discussion about smoking or not in restaurants and clubs, I’d like to add that I saw the Nick Cave Show at the Konzerthaus yesterday, and aside from it having been a really really good show (as Cave always is), smoking is forbidden inside there. So no one smoked - except for Nick Cave on stage, who apologised - and the atmosphere was great. People fantastic, music fantastic, air clean and fresh. It obviously works. So, I am all pro non-smoking now.
(And don’t give me the line “non smoking is cutting down the liberties of smokers” it has never worked with me. It would only make me give you the classic retort “prohibiting murder is also cutting the liberties of murderers.” Thank you.)

    I definitely must agree. It’s such a pleasure enjoying a smoke-free event.

Yes, my oppinion is the same. I prefer to enjoy a show without intoxicating and bad smelling smoke in my lungs.
    Greetings!

agreed here! no agrument will convince me other than a smoking ban is a good idea. I’ve been all over the place, and I can say that going out in Vienna is far less pleasant than NYC, LA, SF, Toronto, London.. hell, just about anywhere — and it’s ONLY because of the smoke issue.
