Netznetz who had a slight public relation problem up until now, finally have a get-together to give away some money for the netart/culture community in Vienna.
As the hearsay floating in cyber- and meatspace taught me that because of this announcement, all of a sudden, 24 projects were submitted within a week, to get a piece of the cake despite the whole typical Viennese grumpy scepticism that surrounded Netznetz before.
Now, you have the ability to influence who is getting how much, and there are certainly interesting projects that might also affect your quality of life in this city. All you have to do is sign up today (the today that lasts until midnight), follow the instructions you get in your inbox, a passport or some other kind of photo id, and time to be at the Depot from 17:30 on.

oh … thanks for posting that three hours before the deadline :-/
what scepticism has there been exactly? i know a couple of people who’d like some of that money for their project, and they’ve been thrilled about this for months. were there doubts if the grants will ever be distributed, or whether they’ll be distributed fairly, or something else?

sorry about the nitpicking..but maybe somebody tried for the last 14,5 hours to go to the webpage and demaged the tendons of his wrist already and phoned all the friends at night to help him out.. AY, que horror!!
