Bei Schüssels

Schüssel und Gusenbauer

Maschek are back again! (Maybe you remember them from Dorfers Donnerstalk or last year’sThe Great Television Swindle ?) This time they dedicated their program to our lovely Herr Bundeskanzler: Bei Schüssels. Dr. Schüssel is obviously depicted in form of a doll (crafted by Ana Maria Heigl), along with other wonderful politicians such as Silvio Berlusconi, Angela Merkel and Vladimir Putin.

Yes, Kasperltheater for those that know (how to spell) postfaschistische Demokratie!

Commenting on the content may be a good idea at this point, but to my shame, I have to admit I haven’t visited their show yet. I for one try to think of it as a subversive version of Kasperl und Pezi, with endearing music by Gustav (Sounds like the perfect job for her, don’t you think?)

(After all, it’s most likely to be interesting when derStandard doesn’t like it, and Blumenau does.)

You can catch Maschek in the Rabenhof Theater at 20:00 on the 2-4., 9-11., 21., 22., and 31. of March, as well as 1. and 3-5. of April. I certainly will.
