Those two headlines were sitting right next to each other this morning on orf.at in the cronicle section - “first fines for shell game players” and “two lotto jackpots in the state lottery“. If you see the irony in this, you can keep it.
ingenious! i hope now that the shell game fraudsters are prosecuted there’ll be some more information in the news soon, so we can see how similar to lotto it actually is. one big difference is that there are no official rules, and if there were rules, they wouldn’t stick to them — that’s for sure. but wheter it’s true that, for example, they’re also laundering counterfeit money, remains to be seen.
