Since moving to the third district, i’ve been fighting with the gastronomic drought and tastelessness of this otherwise beautiful district. But fighting through the suburbian jungle, i’ve been able to uncover a well hidden gem, which might safely feed me throughout the next months. The Mela is a classical indian restaurant, in the middle of the Landstrassian Desert (Wien 3), where one can get a daily special menu for

    also check out the “cafe am heumarkt”, am heumarkt 15, one of the most relaxed cafes in know with superbe and cheap gulasch. and this is a great place to read or sit or write, huge, most of the times empty and beautiful.
