Summer.Stinking.Lobster
At the end summer came to town. Great! So I ran to the Donauinsel (an artificial island in the Danube) & stayed there for a few hours - now I look like a fat cooked lobster. Great! After breaking the sunburn record of 2005 (Howdy skincancer) I took the undergound back home and nearly died cause of the transpiration of some passengers. I hate that!
I know that’s all supervicial, at the same time a hurricane destroyes the life and property of people. It’s the old question: How should we react in our daily life if somewhere people are killed, lose all their property, are tortured etc.?
Did you mean perspiration? To transpire is to happen or occur.
“To happen or occur” is only a minor meaning of the term; it is in fact disputed whether this usage is correct at all. It mainly means “to be revealed”, but there also is a sense that encompasses perspiration.
Hmm, you’re right, but ‘transpire’ in the sense of ’sweat’ only works for plants or leaves.
