Whether you like it or not the internet is coming closer to this with all the fear around. Fear breeds mistrust, and many would give up their freedom for a sense of security and protection. The proposal for data retention comes shockingly close to the idea of a police state. What’s next? Thought crime? Nip the bud before it ripens into a fruit?
