The Metroblogging empire is a large place - we cover 27 cities now with about 300 bloggers. This creates a lot of stories, and makes it a bit hard for a single human being to keep track of all the good stuff that happens around the globe. Especially if you are an information junkie like me, and are already subscribed to about 50 RSS feeds, two dozen mailing lists, 3 newspapers and a SMS info service. Luckily, the good folks at Metroblog HQ found a good way to bring the best, the most interesting, the funniest and the most important stuff to you in one simple package.

By utilizing a highly scientific setup consisting of an eye of newt, some chicken bones, half a pint of virgin’s blood and a charming voodoo priestess called Lauren, they created the wonder that is Metroblogging - Best of. Every day, you’ll find a selection of our best stories there, from Atlanta to Washington D.C., from Istanbul to Tokyo. Even our little piece of earth that we call home has been deemed worthy to enter those halls a few times now.
