gastro 012 / hot and spicy

after the last udo 77-show i attended, johannes, some of his friends and i went out for thai food. we landed at the bangkok (7th district, neustiftgasse 24, mo-fr 11:00-15:00 & 18-23.30, sa,su 17.30-24:00) which is simply a fantastic restaurant. run by a family, the atmosphere is great, the food is exquisite, the prices are reasonable, and you can order any main dish in 4 different levels of seasoning, from “mild” to “OMG WTF IT BURNS IT BURNS”. if you have little to no clue about thai food (like me), just let the the waitress, who is one of the friendliest persons i ever met in a restaurant, help you out. and be sure to try the dessert! (oh, by the way, that’s johannes thumb in the picture. and now you know.)

thanks for the tip, I’ve always wanted to check this place out. my fave thai in vienna so far is “siam” on b
I wonder how many thai places in the world are named either “Bangkok Thai” or “Siam” … in New Orleans we have both. How unoriginal.
i guess there’s some sort of directory for restaurant names, and if you feel uncreative, you just pick one - i really would like to know sometimes how many “lucky garden” chinese restaurants or “santa lucia” pizzarias are out there.
