Holidays in Kuala Lumpur / Vienna

I did not get out of this city very often this summer, but I spent quite a couple of hours around the “Copa Cagrana” (or rather at the “Alte Donau”) playing volleyball, barbecueing, eating fish and: watching the sunset.
Whenever I am there, I have the strong feeling that I am far away from Vienna. Feels like Kuala Lumpur to me. My thoughts start to travel and I feel like a cosmopolitan (or rather cosmoproletarian, as dj kosmoprolet puts it: globally linked but still poor ;-).
Are there any travellers out there that can validate my impression that this area of Vienna looks and feels like an far-eastern metropolis?

The pictures have been taken by a friend from Berlin (thx Jochen H.).
