Wien ist Anders

Vienna is different. Really.
Actually, most of Austria is different. It’s like taking a giant leap back in time.
Roughly 3 decades if you come from the U.S.
Normally, this is a Very Good Thing, but sometimes, it is just incredibly annoying.
Although the product called Negerbrot seems to be gone, or at least renamed, Blacky, a product of Nestle-Schöller is here, and it is almost as annoying. The name itself isn’t as bad as the Negerbrot, but combined with the picture on the packaging, it is bordering on the asinine.

also of interest : until 2003, you could buy “nigger beer” – which is a “traditional” name for a mix of cola and beer in upper austria. and the carinthian restaurant pumpe had, until 2004, “nigger sweat” and “mulatto beer” on the menu.
