Pigeons! Where?

I told my friend Hermann that I find it highly interesting that there are so few pigeons in Vienna. I mean, compare the Vienna pigeon rate to … hmm … Venice … or Munich … or Rome … or Berlin.
Hermann told me that a certain municipal department of the City of Vienna disperses pigeon contraceptives. So to say: they spread the pigeon pill all over town. Is this an urban legend?

It’s no urban legend that several kestrels were migrated to the city of vienna to solve the pigeon problem. (maybe snipers would also do*g*)

    there are still too many!
i´ve head that the city has re-naturalized the “turmfalke” a falcon who used to live in & under the roofs and is known as the natural enemy of pigeons. watch out for his call!
