The Awful German Language

The CIA World Factbook writes about the common languages in Austria:

German (official nationwide), Slovene (official in Carinthia), Croatian (official in Burgenland), Hungarian (official in Burgenland)

You see. Vienna is basically German speaking.
Yesterday we had some arguments about whether we should metroblog in German or English language. My answer is this classic by Mark Twain. And I agree. Totally.

    Hey everyone - if you want to Blog in German thats fine be me. I’m happy to put up a “translate” link or something -I think it’s important that this site is useful on a local level before international.

    i’m looking forward dor the automatic translation translating the englisch content to englisch. that will be fun. at least babelfish is always a great laugh when doing so :-)
